Fresh off the heels of my recent trip to New York, I find myself feeling restless all over again. Why is it that I miss home when I'm away and I feel like something's missing when I'm home?
I don't know how most travellers do it. I can only say that in the past, I have let time cure the itch caused by the bite of the travel bug. But that only goes so far. After a while of stagnation, the symptoms come back: feelings of restlessness, thirst for adventure, and a general air of malaise.
Luckily, my pharmacist can diagnose me within seconds because she has an even more chronic case than me. I think she already has a lifetime-long list of medications (destinations) and it's still growing.
Right now there are only a handful of places that I'd like to see soon. These include (in no specific order): Tofino, Montreal, New Zealand, Berlin, New York (again but with friends this time), and last but not least, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The latter seems particularly enticing.
N.B. Wanderlust is genetic. Pictured above left: my mom's international magnet collection on our fridge.

Wanderlust is SO genetic. My mom's fridge is going to match yours soon. Let's go away somewhere. My restlessness is definitely not as bad as last year's, but I would be very happy to go on a road trip with you!
ReplyDeletePS I have more than a handful of places I'd like to see. My taxi driver today was from Jordan and I was talking to him about how I want to go there. He says it's beautiful and safe for women!
Haha I know you have more than a handful! The third paragraph is all about you!
