CCLXXXI: Laze

Today was pretty uneventful. Most would say that I wasted a vacation day, but when you don't have any planned destinations for the rest of 2010, what more can you do on a rainy Friday than catch up on some TV?

Among my entertainment arsenal were A Broadway Celebration: In Performance at the White House, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, Bored to Death, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and The Office. I tried watching He's Just Not That Into You but already hated it within the first few minutes--plus, my PVR was at 75% capacity--so I decided to delete it.

There are a few movies I have saved for when a friend (or more) come over: Paper Heart, The Hangover, Away We Go, and Let the Right One In. Then there are the ones I have seen already that I wanted to keep: Star Trek, 17 Again (Pleuve!), Benjamin Button, (500) Days of Summer. And finally, another 10 to 20 more that were either Oscar contenders, had appealing synopses, or others I was curious about; these range from Julie & Julia to The Reader to Coraline.

My plans to go to yoga yo-yo'd (fittingly!) throughout the day. First it was definite. Then a longer than expected phone call put me in the position to either run down my hill to catch the bus or stay home and relax. I didn't like the idea of taking a few hours out of my day (two-thirds of it devoted to the commute) for one class. These (in)decisions repeated again in the afternoon. I conceded to laziness and kept to my self-imposed house arrest.

One happy surprise was the deliverance of a French Kiss--no, not the actions of a knight in shining armour, but the best sushi roll of my life that I've introduced you to once before. At least now I have photographic evidence! Trust me, it's amazing. I'm so glad my parents went to White Rock today and brought this back for me...

  2. YOU! For the longest time I assumed that I had to have a blogger account to comment, which clearly is not the case! I am jealous of your lazy day. I wants too.
