CCLXXV: Worms and Fist Pumps

There are very few people I can be my total self with, and one of the things I am most shy about is dancing as if no one was watching. Well, yesterday you got a taste of how awesome my dance moves can be, even amidst a class full of fit people--over 50% of whom were men.

In the wee hours of this morning, on the tails of my impromptu iChat with Pleuve, we started song sharing. All I can say is that one thing led to another, and when Pleuve introduced me to Robyn's new song something came over me and I started doing the worm. Not the full-body-slamming-against-the-floor kind of worm, but a-step-above-the-rave-hand-movements kind. It was as if my arms were independent from my body, à la Michael Flatley, lord of the dance. It was fun.

Then the two of us danced with each other from halfway across the world: one a raver (moi), the other a Jersey Shorer (Pleuve)--especially with this song in the background. This is one of the glories of technology: it makes one feel as if a dear friend who is a ten-hour flight away is right there next to you. Thanks for making my weekend, Pleuvy!

And yes, I counted this as nightlife--the second tag in 275 days! I am too cool for school.
