lethargic |ləˈθärjik|adjectiveaffected by lethargy; sluggish and apathetic : I felt tired and a little lethargic.DERIVATIVESlethargically |-jik(ə)lē| adverbORIGIN late Middle English : via Latin from Greek lēthargikos, from lēthargos ‘forgetful.’
The above was courtesy of Chloe's Dictionary and my mood of the day, most likely brought upon by prolonged sleep deprivation which was worth it given the weekend of celebration.
Reading about the etymology of this word has reminded me of Lethe. How ironic that of all the things for me to remember, it was forgetting.
