I just made the word up to explain the metamorphoses I underwent this evening. It appears that I am becoming a mother (from the Latin mater, matris: mother; and -ficātiō, -ficātiōn, from -ficātus, past participle of -ficāre, to make).
Wordsmithing aside, no, I did not become pregnant, but I think I became one with some motherly grocery shopping and cleaning instincts. As soon as I got back from work I drove the car to Costco to fill up my cart with various bulk produce. Then after unloading all of my groceries at home and making myself a quick ravioli dinner, I took Chiara out for a quick walk and started cleaning up the guest rooms and bathroom in anticipation for the homestays' arrival tomorrow. This led to Dysoning the whole house, cleaning my bathroom, and doing two loads of laundry. I finally got to sit down close to midnight after washing the dishes.
How do people do this?
PS. One of my purchases at Costco was a 4L jug of organic milk. It expires on July 27th. I have a lot of drinking to do. And don't judge me, I've had my eye on some organic milk for awhile, and it seems more justifiable to spend $7 on 4L than $5-6 on 2L.
