Ever since my parents left for their 2.5 month trip to Europe, I have been dreading one day, and that is the day my homestays arrive. The reason? I would be responsible for the meals/wellbeing of not just one adult (me) but three. It's a lot more pressure and cooking than I'm used to! It's pressure-cooking!
Originally I was informed that this would be on July 25th, three days before my parents arrived. The timing seemed to work out fine since I had no plans between the arrival of the homestays and my parents. It was also far enough in advance from today that I only felt minimal amounts of anxiety -- and three to four days of cooking solo did not seem overwhelmingly daunting.
HOWEVER...
Not having received specific details, I decided to email the homestay coordinator. Well, guess who will have guests this Thursday? Yes. Me.
It's only two days away.
It's three extra days of cooking than anticipated.
I have plans on Friday and Saturday.
Blargh.
That sucks. Do you really have to cook for them? Maybe you can suggest some restaurants nearby.
