CLXXVIII: It's Growing (on Me)
Every time my parents travel for long periods of time, the chore I loathe most is watering the plants. In past occasions it was something I would try to conveniently forget, and my mom would come home to a patio filled with crispy brown plants. Nothing says "welcome home" like seeing the beauty you had painstakingly cultivated DESTROYED.
However, times have changed. Now that I have Chiara, it's made me much more responsible with the vegetation in and around my house. I've been watering the outdoor plants almost everyday especially because of our recent heat wave. I would water the grass too but I only have one small Ikea watering can and no hose. And it's nice to see the fruits (or in this case "flowers") of my labour. Things are in bloom. Or coming back from the dead of rainy weather.
