CLXXXIX: Euvelous

I took a vacation day to rest from cleaning the house last night and to spend the day with Pleuve. I cooked us some lunch (Caprese pasta salad and chicken marsala) and then we sat down to watch The Matrix, interrupted only by a chai and cookie break. I bought the trilogy on DVD last summer and was happy to finally crack it open since I hadn't seen the first film in years.

I love it so much! Especially now that I can (begin to) understand the metaphysics of it all. That's what the world needs more of--intelligent, original films. It's why I've been itching to watch Inception for weeks, and I can't wait to escape to the theatre when my parents return so that I won't have to feel guilty for leaving Chiara or the homestays alone.

I was happy that Pleuve loved it too -- it was her first time watching it! -- and I'm looking forward to continuing with the sequels with her.

I had forgotten how much I loved Keanu.

  1. Meuve! That was such a good day!! I can't believe I never watched or even wanted to watch the Matrix before. Now I'm excited to see what happens! Too bad he's not my boy crush otherwise I'd swoon too :) Hahahah (wizarding laugh)
