Two 5:00am wakeup calls, one 6:30am wakeup call, and one extended afternoon (all due to hot yoga class) later, I am both extremely tired and pleased. When does the mind start letting the body get a decent amount of sleep? It's the will that keeps me trucking on--whether it's the will to write this blog no matter how tired I am, or the will to wake up at a god-foresaken hour; the will to painstakingly plan my outfit for the next day (this is perhaps the most unnecessarily time-consuming of them all), or the will to push myself through a tiresome warrior-two pose with an insane forward bend--I'm just relieved and so thankful that we have a long weekend! Huzzah for Easter!
This afternoon at work was particularly hard to get through. I don't know why but by 2:00pm it felt like it was 6:00pm...and I was like a kid in elementary school on her last day of class before summer holidays. All this pent up excitement for a four-day weekend. A four-day weekend with the possibility of two days of sleeping in and four days of either catching up with some friends or watching my fill of PVR'd Project Runway and Craigy episodes. Things I enjoy to do but nothing out of the ordinary.
Tonight, my mom and I watched 4 season three episodes of Project Runway in a row. In the penultimate episode, they flew to Paris and made couture gowns in two days. Pleuvy, I thought of you, especially as they walked up the steps in Montmartre to view the Sacré Coeur on a gorgeous sunny day:) And of you modelling some fashions next week!
Maintenant, je dois me laver et puis je vais dormir. Why is elementary French suddenly so hard?
you get a 4 day weekend?!?! lucky. i only get one stat day
ReplyDeleteOooh Meuvy! That sounds exciting, and it also sounds like something I don't want to do (make a couture gown in 2 days). Ouch, that actually sounds painful. Alas I am far from making a couture gown...2 more years to go. Have a great Easter!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Do you want to skype on Sunday night my Monday morning?
