Sing to me of the man, Muse, the man of twists and turns / driven time and again off course, once he had plundered the hallowed heights of Troy... Launch out on his story, Muse, daughter of Zeus, / start from where you will -- sing for our time too.Tales like The Odyssey were not written down in their time but part of the oral tradition, so asking the Muse for help was a way of helping the storyteller's own recollection. I can't invoke the help of anyone to help me with my memory, and...can you tell that I don't know what to write about tonight?
It's hard finding daily inspiration in a routine world. It's equally hard to avoid ranting, which I have not been able to escape from time to time. However, that being said, we all find comfort in routine, and comfort is something that should not be taken for granted. I like sticking to my morning and evening rituals, and sometimes I even spice things up with a nap! (That's right, I was so tired when I got home today that I indulged a little.)
Some people find comfort in a friend, some in food, some in a lover, some in a pair of shoes. Maybe even a pet. Whatever your method, it's nice to step back once in awhile and think about why you chose that outlet. And if it's a person, make sure s/he knows that you appreciate their support.
Sometimes it is our loved ones who give us the most inspiration. So thank you, friends♥. I don't know who I would be without you. It's a bleak world I do not want to imagine.
Pictured above: the Muses in Disney's Hercules, one of my all-time favourite Disney movies for obvious reasons. Kalinichta!

I definitely find comfort in FOOD! I think about food all the time. For example right now I am thinking about hot dogs. Kalinichta!
