XLV: The Medals

This would have been a better picture if there weren't people standing next to me in line and if I had Neru.

I thought I'd share a shot of five of the six medals that were shown at my office today. The square ones are Paralympic medals and the rounder ones near the top of the photo are Olympic medals. They're gorgeous, heavy, and exquisite pieces of art. 

I got to carry the two gold medals. We were so lucky that the medals were brought to the executives for their meeting today...my parents had to wait six hours to see them at the Royal Canadian Mint!
