CCCXLIX: ROO

Today I went ice skating at the Richmond Olympic Oval (ROO) with my friends Asi and Pleuve. It was my first time since Valentine's Day 2006 and it took awhile to get used to the ice again, though I was never terribly comfortable with it even when I took elementary figure skating lessons as a child. I never liked the idea of how easy it is to lose control on the ice, especially when attempting to spin. (Come to think of it, I don't like the idea of how easy it is to lose control in the water either...so let's just say I don't feel that safe with H₂O other than drinking it or using it to bathe.) Needless to say, I never mastered ice skating.

I quite enjoyed it after awhile, especially when Pleuve and I skated together and sang along to O-Town's "All or Nothing" and Blink 182's "All the Small Things". I love hearing songs that I haven't heard in years, especially ones that were on the brink of being forgotten. And I love being a kid again with Pleuve!

The beautiful sky as we drove off
