LXXIII: Indecision and Time Mismanagement

Last night, instead of sleeping as early as I could (for the sake of a 5:00am wakeup call for hot yoga...yes, I often complain about this...and I'm sorry but that will not change), I spent a good 15 minutes coordinating my yoga schedule for the rest of the week. I signed up, rescheduled, cancelled, and rethought what class I'd take each day since I have only been doing 2-3 lessons per week for the past two weeks. My aim was at least 4 per week.

Umm...I just interrupted the writing of this blog entry for ten minutes to decide what I'm taking this weekend too. Bleh.

After that self-imposed yoga mess last night, I searched my room for a new package of blotting paper. For twenty-five minutes. I could have sworn I had at least one package left, but after looking through the obvious spots and where I thought I might have placed it, as well as praying to St. Anthony, I had to conclude that I did not have any left. WTML?! I don't remember opening my previous package and feeling like it was my last. If I had been aware, I would have made some sort of mental note of stocking up. I always do.

So now I have two hypotheses:
  1. I haven't run out, I just forgot where to look
  2. I ran out and didn't realize it
Either way, this does not bode well for my memory.

By the way, I have mismanaged my time far worse before. Once during exam season in university, I spent a couple of hours trying to untangle yarn. You can't make this stuff up. The worst part is that it was still tangled in the end.

Right: Unlike this photo I found online, the yarn I tried to untangle was thicker and yellow.

  1. I am the queen of indecision and time mismanagement! I'm trying to change but I can't :(
