CCXCIII: Palpitar

My heart is fragile and this is extremely apparent under any of the following circumstances:
  1. Caffeine on an empty stomach or after work
  2. The presence of men, particularly (but not restricted to) the desirable age of 24-35; note that there are exceptions such as the drummer in School of Rock (who is 22, though I don't know what he looks like now and thought he was cute in the movie) and Craig Ferguson (48)
  3. Speaking or singing in public
  4. The minutes prior to raising my hand in class when I have an idea or answer - note that this hasn't happened for more than 2 years now!
  5. Watching a good action movie, particularly a James Bond one
  6. Confronting someone with my honest thoughts/opinions when they aren't positive - this is why I avoid confrontation whenever possible, though if it's important I will supersede these concerns
  7. Talking to a superior about a request/desire that has been on my mind for a very long time
Today I was the victim of #1 and 7 and cannot tell which was the originator and which the fuel for my heart palpitations.

However, if we are judging my heart physiologically, it has actually gotten stronger due to my eight months of committed yoga practice. Holla! I love not being worn out by running for the bus or doing dolphin plank.
