I still can't believe how early I went to bed last night. I wish I could say that I got enough rest, but unfortunately my body was so unhabituated to sleeping before 9:00pm that it must have interpreted my intended sleep as a nap. I slept for around two hours, woke up, and then had a night of interrupted sleep. I think I was worried that I wouldn't wake up on time--and with a wakeup call of 5:15am, how could you blame me?
Why does that seem so much more unreasonable when it's not due to yoga?
Today was definitely less stressful than yesterday. I lowered my photography standards and was very relieved to find out from my colleagues that they were hoping to have five good shots of the whole conference. There my Thursday-self was expecting each shot to be necessary. I still made my rounds to different sessions but I was more experimental in adjusting my variables and did not change my lens once (a different story from yesterday).
The most important picture was the award winner receiving his plaque. Of the four pictures I took, one or two were focussed. I don't know how Boy does it. I can't adjust the focal point fast enough for real-time. Maybe if we lived in a slow-motion or claymation world...
The food highlights for me were the potato bisque, salmon, and apple crumble tart served at the award luncheon. The highlight of the day was coming home. That, however, was not without its hiccups as my taxi driver started to drive off with my luggage. Luckily, a family who was walking by yelled (I'm sure he noticed these over my frantic waves and/or his cellphone conversation) and my possessions were restored to me.
I can't wait to eat home food and sleep in my bed tonight!
