I went to bed late, woke up early to get to 7:00am hot yoga (in which I learned that I've been doing dancer's pose incorrectly this whole time, and the real way is so much more challenging that I'm still sore), and had a busy day at work. When lunchtime rolled around, I was very grateful to my coworkers for organizing a belated birthday sushi buffet followed by a sumptuous tuxedo cake.

I would have enjoyed this show much more had I not been so tired. My contact lenses felt very dry and the night felt very long indeed. We had front row spots right by the drummer (how choice!), but no energy to fully appreciate where we were. I could not stop thinking about how I had never set my eyes upon a British skater man until today. Look at guitar-toting him!

I should also mention that I quite liked the opening act, a guy named Rolla Olak. He played his acoustic guitar and harmonica. And note to self (and you all): always check your Twitter feed before attending a show. This will prevent you from showing up too early. Unless you want to be in the coveted front row, of course, which is what happened for us tonight!
By the time I caught my bus and arrived home, I was tired beyond words. And that is the truth as I am writing about this a day later, though it is not posted as such!
