I Ragazzi Non Stanno Bene

...also known as the American film The Kids Aren't Alright.

First, Posh and I went to a school-organized visit to learn how Florentine paper, or la carta fiorentina, is made. To my surprise we were led to Signum, one of my favourite stationary shops. We got to see how parchment was bound together to make leather books and how one-of-a-kind designs were made and put onto paper.

After nutella crepes at Serafino, Rob, Posh, and I went to Odeon (whose beautiful ceiling is pictured below) with my classmate and her husband to see the movie, mostly due to my urgings, which I admit were based on my reading Lainey Gossip back when I was in Vancouver (I find I get swayed by her opinions very easily).

Verdict? 7/10. Good but not great. Though I appreciated the plot and stellar acting along with Mark Ruffalo's good looks, I wasn't blown away. Rob and Posh said it wasn't a typical American movie which I will interpret as a compliment.

After the movie, Posh started talking about Hannibal but for the longest time I didn't understand what she meant because she pronounced it like "honey ball". Now the three of us have a new inside joke.

Today's word of the day is Annibale, the Italian spelling of "Hannibal". Please note that there are famous Hannibals other than Hannibal Lecter--Hannibal of Carthage, a commander during the Second Punic War comes to mind. You know, the guy who marched elephants across the Alps to Italy.

This reminds me of Homer vs. Homer.
