It's been a tough week for Boy. He hasn't been feeling well at all, and it got to the point where I had to insist on taking him to the hospital. He got admitted with a relatively short wait-time and a few hours later (around 5:30am) was shown to a private room. Where he had a malfunctioning bed (it kept closing despite the nurse's tries to flatten it) which was quickly switched out for a new one, and the nurse prepared one of the chairs into a bed for me so that I too could get some sleep.
Due to the late night, sleep deprivation, and concern for Boy, I decided to take the day off to spend with him in the hospital. And I have to say that despite his condition and the circumstances, we had a lot of fun just talking and joking around. At one point, Numz came to visit and played "Would you rather?". She asked Boy if he would rather have his condition or cheese-grater hands. And after a few follow up questions, today I learned that Boy would never choose to have cheese-grater hands.
Later on, the two of us played Twenty Questions and the object I chose (that he eventually guessed) was a cheese-grater.
I don't know how long Boy will be here but I will try to keep him company as best as I can. It seems like I'll be visiting the hospital a lot again. But I am grateful to have experienced this with Giagi first since it helped me be able to handle today better and anticipate what would be needed. I hope Boy feels better soon.
