Cat Power

Not so fresh off a late concert night, I had another show to go to featuring another artist whose songs I barely knew. I had heard of Cat Power because Nicky had one of her songs playing when I visited her a few months ago, and so I thought that, based on that sound, I would be in for a good show.

I was accompanied by Prancine who is a huge Cat Power fan (she ended up buying her ticket today), as well as another friend from high school. We were not impressed by the opening act, and we were equally not impressed with the show. It was more a light show than anything, and according to Prancine, Chan Marshall had rearranged all her songs, straying from her more mellow, acoustic sound.

After going to so many concerts this year, I am bound to run into a few disappointing ones. At least I got a few good pictures.
