If you read yesterday's post you might have gotten the impression that I was unhappy with the audition, and you would have been completely right. I still am, but more because of my physiological condition during the process.Today, my voice teacher emailed me to say "Congratulations! You were chosen by the jury!", and this has made my year (and we're only 18 days in!). I'm so excited and I would be lying if I didn't tell you that ever since I heard about this event, I've been picturing myself singing this onstage in my grad gown (pictured at the left). However, in this fantasy of mine I am flawless and relaxed. It is going to take a lot of work to get there. And I don't know if I'll still fit into that dress.
In other news, one of these days, I will be sporting a grey eye and a turquoise eye, both with "Demo" written somewhere on the coloured part. The optometrist's assistant said I could choose 2 colours so I assumed I'd get 2 pairs...but apparently that is not the case! I get to have heterochromia like Kate Bosworth and certain cats. Woohoo!
I am also very tempted to play the Sims 3 today. I'm even debating installing it on Chloe. This is what happens when there is no fine television programming on Mondays.
i can't wait to see you sing, while wearing that beautiful dress. have you thought about how you'll do your hair, Giosy?
ReplyDeleteI don't think you should put Sims on Chloe, Giosy...I fear she might break down =(
RaeRae, I ended up putting the Sims on Chloe and it was pointless. I can't play without a mouse! And I'm not getting a mouse just to play it on her vs. Darth PC (my desktop).
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited you're coming! I don't know how I will do my hair, actually...all I know is that it'll be down.
haha! i have the sims on my laptop. i only played it once because i have no mouse...
ReplyDeleteand congrats, i want to watch your performance!
