...from two different websites.
In my defence, there is a special deal this week and one of the items would make a great gift. But I won't go on about what is right or wrong. I'll just be more careful from now on with my credit card.
It's Halloween! And while everyone is out trick or treating, I am having the most un-festive Halloween at home ever. After making dinner, I proceeded to clean, moisturize, and waterproof all of my leather goods (jacket, bag, and shoes). Because winter is coming. And by that I mean rain.
I was about to end it there (it would've sounded better if I did!) but I just remembered how excited I am to go on a short getaway with Boy in a couple weeks. We got a Groupon deal for a bed and breakfast in Camano Island, Washington, and I am planning for it to be an analog few days. I have been enjoying my newfound mindfulness and think that the less time defaulting to TV or iPhones, the better (as I want to wrap up tonight's blogging so that I can get to Breaking Bad, heh...).
Before yesterday's hot yoga class, the instructor played a couple of beautiful songs and while listening, I tried my best to decipher/remember the lyrics. Then I asked her who the artist was and she said Cat Power (whose concert I saw and did not enjoy last year because she performed new stuff that did not resemble the 90% of her other stuff which I think I'd like) and really quickly mentioned the song titles and that they were remixes. I did not catch the song titles! And I tried googling the lyrics I thought I heard, but it came to no avail (this isn't much of a surprise since I am notorious for mishearing lyrics).
So I told Prancine at work today about my dilemma (for me there really is nothing worse than hearing a fantastic song and not ever being able to hear it again!) and she reminded me of Grooveshark. A friend told me about it last year and I never got into it, but now I know the error of my ways! How nice that I can find any song and listen to it, and then make a playlist if I want. I spent a couple of hours skipping through Cat Power songs trying to find the one that I loved most from last night, but I couldn't and had to give up.
Instead I played this song a few times, also heard first at a yoga class. I hope you like it!
