- Declaring myself a "font geek" when I remarked (out loud) on my admiration of the font an off-site colleague used for a conference program we are working on. This included my pronouncement of admiration, a play-by-play of the dialogue that ensued via email between myself and the one who had done up the program (including asking her what font it was), a declaration that I would from now on use this gorgeous font in all of my future email communications, and so forth. If you are curious, it was Myriad. Isn't it beautiful? (Sorry to Helvetica and Calibri who preceded you.)
- Realizing that the two-way enchanted mirror in Beauty and the Beast has become obsolete with the invention of Skype. This is sort of like how Pleuve had once asked aloud why they don't make pictures with sound, to which I answered, "That's a video!", except that it is much more confusing how I had the thought of a two-way mirror in the first place.

Myriad
Around the office, I am known as the one who is very particular about her things and who usually enjoys the type of work that no one else does, i.e. data entry, proofreading, etc. One of my colleagues, a sassy Irish lass whom I will name E (I hope you're reading this!), is often privy to my silly ramblings, mild hissy fits (a rarity, I'd like to think), and general strangeness. Today she witnessed the following two events:
