Thinking I was clever and coined a new term, I quickly googled today's title and, to my dismay, was met with its previous usages. The theory of evolution was simultaneously discovered by Charles Darwin and Alfred Russell Wallace, so I guess that word formation is not off limits. If anything, it's an art (yes, I'm calling it that so that I can say I'm an artist) that is much more easily accessible because people speak in some form everyday. Not everyone theorizes about science, let alone new ways of explaining what was once deemed inexplicable. I digress, though. Today was not meant to discuss the title. It was to talk about what it means. To me.
Without revealing all (because if I did, what would I write about tomorrow? And remember to have low expectations, guys!), I will say this--that this blog, over the past 355 days, has been both my friend and foe. Finding inspiration is one thing; making time is the other. Being bound to my promise, though the rope was velvety, has been a challenge. The only time I faltered was during my trip to New York when I blogged every couple of days rather than daily; however, not doing so would have meant that I finished on December 31st, and then what would you be reading right now?
Tomorrow will be the end of this chapter, and then I will take some time to enjoy my last few weeks at home in this wonderful city that has been my humble third parent, with the people I love; breathing the air that has nurtured me and seeing the water and mountains that have framed my perspective each day that I have had the honour of beholding them. Mine will be a bittersweet departure, I assure you, both tomorrow and in February.
Sweet dreams tonight. We'll say our goodbyes tomorrow.
i'm sad i wont have a blogging partner anymore :(
