Maid of Honour

Bunny's engaged!

Bunny and her fiancé invited their family and closest friends to celebrate their engagement at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia in downtown Vancouver. I was honoured to be included in the guest list. Bunny and I have been friends since grade nine and I consider her one of my best friends, so when she asked me to come early I thought she needed help setting up. I was the first to arrive which allowed me to sneak in some shots of the beautiful York Room (unfortunately my trials with using manual on Neru backfired, making most of my pictures of that day blurry).

Imagine my surprise when Bunny entered with a Parisian-themed box for me. I read a card that said "Will you be my...", and then opened the box where "maid of honour" was nicely stamped, accompanied by macarons and a handwritten list of the wedding details and my upcoming responsibilities. I was incredibly touched to have been chosen along with Bunny's other best friend to be co-maids of honour (or "COMOHs" as she later called them).

If I could only use one word to describe the occasion, bride-to-be, and venue, it would be exquisite. And I'll leave it at that.

The happy couple
Congratulations to two wonderful people who deservedly found each other. I am so happy for you.
