A New Leaf!

Several wonderful things occurred yesterday/today:

1. I reconnected with two people whom I hadn't seen in months.
2. I went to an Editor's Association of Canada meeting with one of those people.
3. I met a retired editor who also likes singing. He told me about an 8-session ensemble program at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra School of Music.
4. I signed up for that very program (today) which starts this Saturday.
5. I won free admission to an editing workshop (worth around $150) during a draw.
6. I volunteered to be a writer for an online publication.
7. I became a student member of the Editor's Association of Canada.
8. I received confirmation that my first choice accompanists are available for an upcoming gala event in March, meaning that...
9. I will get to sing accompanied by stringed instruments!
10. I got a massage today and my back is feeling better already.

It's a whole lot of change for a 24-hour period, but I am excited and happy that 2014 is starting off with some new adventures. I had forgotten that new experiences and saying yes to them could pay me back threefold.
